no, i didn't skip right over it ... but a lot of people are known to contradict themselves sometimes.... on top of that your e-sarcasm is just a liiiittttllle hard to sense sometimes ... maybe a jk or a smiley face may be in order for the next one you savvy forum lord, you.

sorry i didn't catch your drift the first time around danny-o. maybe, just maybe not everyone's on the same page as you. wink wink smiley thumbsup...

to keep on topic though, why not just run regular street tires and have some radials aside for the track? save cash in the long run and you said yourself the on/off throttle hole in the map feels better with them, i'm sure it's a bit easier to turn, and the traction on those 13" grippers isn't nearly as bad as you had expected it to be.

Just get slicks for the track or a set of ET streets. They both > drag radials.

word. a set of bias ply drag radials like ET streets or the MH's will be night and day compared to bfg's.

sorry just saw this post....

Anyway i have made 500+ hp 400ish torque for 3-4 years now. I get 5500-6500 out of a set of drag radials with 25-30psi in the tires. I am on my second set and they are wearing the same. This is with drag racing doing burnouts and what not. I feel your problem is how low your car is. My car is setup on JIC FLA2's and is about 1" lower than factory. No camber kits they are a joke and rip off (no offense just my opinion with my personal experience). Within the last year i got volks and decided just to get a regular street tire wich are falken azenis 205/55/ R15. I did this for a few reasons the major one is driveability. It is so mush easier to turn handling is so much better and for some reason I could never get the wheels balanced with the drag radials my steering wheel has always had a slight wable. The problem now is that my car just shreds off these tires with no problem the drag radials are a big difference and i am dreading the day i get something i want to run and dont have the proper tires to do so. I recomend raising your car up getting a true computer alignment with a print out showing exaclty where your tires are at. If you have a camber kit get rid of it and just put OEM upper a arms on it. After you get it aligned there is a guy down the raod from hybrid he is awesome with setting up alignments and is only 18 bucks. He does alot of cars that are drag raced he is the one that does mine and erics along with JJ's automotive those guys run only ET streets and they have similar results with high mileage on a soft tire Butts is just good.
