I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

^^ LOL yeah that would be ideal but id rather just get it all fixed instead lol.

on that note i installed the head and the difference is MASSIVE. the prior deck was putting out 40wx4 and this one is 50wx4 on top of haveing a bass booster that the one prior did not. the door speakers and the rear speakers are kenwoods and apparently i havent been using them to their max cause they sound much much better.

i did have one snag in the process though... when i connected up the 10 disk changer for some reason the deck wouldnt play the disks. i could listen to music on the radio and do all that normal jazz but i couldnt get the 10 disk to read. after a few minutes wondering wtf was going on i looked into the manual for answers... after a second read i found it... one small paragraph that said you might have to change the changer from "O to the N" setting before it will work... now... ive looked at that thing before and never saw anything like that on it so i was like WTF!? but i went ahead and looked anyways since i was reassured by the Kenwood tech earlier today that my 10 disk changer is compatable with this model deck, which is the reason i went and bought it btw.

found out it was right next to the eject button as a small little switch... "Old - New" is what i was guessing so i switched it and viola it works and tells me what cd im listening to and all that jazz. it looks much better in the car then the other one and is a nice up grade since i got it at Bestbuy for $118 and the tech said it retailed $140. on that note im happy with my purchase. now on to figureing out how to get the decals off so i can put the new ones on lol.

used a torch to heat the decals and used my SOG to peel them off... SOG is utility knife thing i got while i was deployed... due to cramped quarters im not sure yet if they look even or not... hopefully the new ones do lol.

great news my CTR fenders came in early! they just need to be painted and they even came with the side markers so all i need is alittle extra wire and i can set them up too. i would paint them myself but im gonna leave these to pros and we all know that costs alittle dough so it wont be immediately maybe the middle of next month ill have them painted. pictures will follow later tonight.

well a guy in NY bought a set of 96-98 fenders through a supplier in Canada and they sent him 99-00. so they sent him the correct ones and he sold these to me lol. i met him on nwp4life.com. they are very pristine but there is one small ass dent i noticed but ill have that fixed when i get them painted lol. you cant see it in these pictures but i can see it. i cant wait to see them done and put on. im considering waiting until i get the front bumper fixed and painted among other things.

ive been bouncing around for a while now on whats next on my to do list. painting the fenders is something that needs to happen but with that means i need to have the Walker fixed and painted, the center grille re-done, and i need to have the side skirts re-done as well. thats not cheap. something like $700 for everything but the bumper... i also need to finish the radio situation by getting the Sedan rear door handles and a new door clicker. ive been wanting that keyless entry setup for a while now. other things on the mind... i need to get the front CTR LCAs and swaybar so i can finish the rear off with an ITR swaybar, ASR subrace and prolly newer endlinks.

one of the things thats really been on the mind is trying to finish the exhaust. i need to get an aftermarket header, a japanese cat or something of similar length, and i need to get the Spoon B-pipe to finish it.

im also thinking about trading off my Mugen MR5s for something else. i really love them but i need something different. ive also been slacking and should have ordered a new TE37 MONTHS ago but ive been lazy about it. slowly but surely the long wait inbetween each mod is eating at me and making me pissed off.
