I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

They arent powdercoated. That might be the real problem. They are painted with some red laquor and then clear coated. Well the clear coat is lifting up off the red making the whole thing look pink and bubbley and just horrible. This is a VERY common problem on the EVO VIIIs but not so much on the IXs where I believe they fixed the problem with better paint. So hopefully I get the better ones and I am sure that is all that is in stock now. What is not common at all is people getting these replaced under warranty. But Wheelers really pulled through on this one. I gotta hand it to them. Also while I was at it I upgraded to some Goodridge stainless lines and Motul RBF600 fluid.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Can't wait to get the rims next!

I am not a big fan of carbon hoods on EVOs. Especially since my stock Al one weighs like 2 lbs more than a carbon one (seriously). But someday I wouldnt mind getting this trick 1x1 weave carbon fiber vent to replace my stocker. I forget who makes it. I will have to dbl check. This is down the road, after more power (400whp is the new goal). But what do you guys think? I will search for installed pics tomorrow...
Image EDIT: wtf was I thinking? I will never buy this thing. Advans, then coilovers, then back to the engine where I belong. :D
