I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Lets say I painted my powdercoated valve cover. And then eventually wanted to take off the paint, would the color of the pc come off too?

I think the only way to remove powder coat is by sand blasting it. However I bet paint stripper would ruin the finish of the powder underneith.

powder coat is bulletproof. if you wanted to get the pait off try to do it before you powdercoat. i dont think you can powdercoat on a painted surface.

If you want to remove powdercoating try using airplane paint stripper. Its what I used to remove the stock valve cover coating and it made the stuff fall off like a banana peel. I'm not sure how effective it would be on powdercoating, but it would be your best bet. HTH.
