I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

KYB AGX's vs. Koni Yellows

Post by Sean @ NDF » September 07, 2005

Its come down to this. I'm almost positive I'm getting the H&R Race Springs with one of these two shocks. Unless someone can tell me a progressive spring that sits lower and is just as good.

Are the Koni Yellows worth that much more money? Are the AGX's really not as good?

The AGX's have 4 way adjustability in front, and 8 in the rear. Im not sure about the Koni;s.

any personal exp. is appreciated. I am extremely stressed about my stupid suspension and need to get it taken care of. I hate these coilovers...

Since everyone gives me advice outside of my perameters, look @ tokicos-- mid range price between the two and had several sets on several cars w/ good results. JMA

koni yellows are supposed to be one of the best dampers on the market, i have 0 complaints about AGX's, i ran them on my CRX w/ progress auto swap springs (2" drop all the way around) and was completely satisfied, but i think you are mistaken about the rear adjustability.

Im positive about it, on EK's they have 4 way adj. up front, and 8 in rear. Got it straight from the website, and many posts/sellers on honda-tech.

I've heard a great deal about Koni Yellows being the shit too, I might go with those.

On Tokico Shock Dyno tests, the adj. didnt really change much, same for the AGX.

I might end up using money I dont have to buy the Koni Yellows

and here is where your dilemma will lye, the yellows will run you about 500 for the set, plus 200 for the springs, thats 700, for about 300 more you could have progress auto coilovers :P
