I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

munster wrote:Good stuff, man. Are you turning it into a project or are you just going to beat it and have fun?
project fo sho!!!
Nikku wrote:there is a lot wrong with it :O. fix it. changing out that tranny will make the car sooooooo much faster, unless the DA tranny is from a B17a. the windows will not be so fun to fix. To fix the problem with the hood latch, just swap out the cable. while you are at it, route the cable thru the engine bay. the hvac controls are pretty much a given that they will be messed up on an ef. are they cracked?
the tranny is from ls model i believe. is there anyway i can get the hood oopen without swapping the cable first? naw th HVAC is cracked at all, he also gave me a spare one too that looks to be from an si

yeah, change that tranny out quick. having an LS tranny on a B16 really really makes the car slower, the gearing is way wrong. although finding a cable b16 tranny isnt an easy task either. as for opening the hood, if you can fit your hands into the engine bay thru the front bumper you can pop the latch that way, or, if you reach into the driver side wheel well you should find the cable, pulling on that should pop the hood. if the HVAC isnt cracked then there are couple things that could be wrong with it. either the cables snapped, too much slack in the cables that run to the vent switcher thingy (technial term :P), or the cables arent hooked up right. swapping that thing out without cracking the place where the cables go is really really really hard haha.

my first 'race' tonight in this bitch. went against a 5.0 mustang. would have beat him if my tranny didnt suck. my run against him ended in first gear, the 2nd gear on the tranny is teh gay and wouldnt let me shift into it right away. oh well, atleast i know what my car can do...kinda
