I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

got dynoed today!

Post by robry » August 20, 2006

well I went to the corvette show and happened to see the mobile dyno and just had some extra cash burning in my pocket. So I got the RSX dynoed today. I was pretty happy with the numbers considering I never had a baseline. And they weren't using a fan to blow on my radiator. I made 188.8whp and 139.3ft-lbs of torque. And all I have is the bolt-ons listed in my signature. Nic (casino) was there and got some video and pics of it as well. Hopefully he'll get those too me sometime in a few days. Anyhow, heres the dyno chart:

Good stuff, man.

I wonder how much the jdm knob added. Did you do a run with it and without it?

Thats badass for a pretty much bone stock motor. Far more than a stock b series would hope for. Get hondata and an exhuast on there she'll reach 210 or more easily!

haha of course I had the JDM knob on! I actually won the auction for an authentic mugen sports shifter (the little thin tall one) for like 50$~. I'm getting a shortshifter next too... :) Selling the JDM knob to Casino. But yeah, the JDM knob added, atleast 5whp.

btw, look at my torque curve. fucking almost flat the entire way across the rpm band, from 2000rpm to redline. You have got to love the K series for that right there. I am impressed.

well it seemd to matter, because the first pull was 190whp but the rpm pickup moved a little and it gave a false torque reading. And every pull after that went down in power. So I would have to say it made some difference.

your stock cooling system would keep the car running at optimal temperature...only good reason for a fan is on IC cars, which allows for better air to air heat transfer.
