my tongue ring is crooked also... although it's not as noticeable as yours... they had to pierce it crooked slightly due to my webbing though :-/

that's what mine are, i just have the little plastic peices in. but back in the day when i was hardcore punk rock i had little locks! lol i wish i had a pic of it!

munster- how did you strech your tounge out?? i want to go an 8 guage eventually, but i also didn't know if it would look funny 'cause it's crooked

Just having it pierced stretches it. If you have a 10 right now leave it in for a while and you'll eventually be able to get an 8 through it. You'd have to use a taper if you were going bigger than just one size. Once you get past an 8 don't skip gauges. You tear your tongue. Believe me. I tried going from a 4 to a 0. Bad news.

I didn't really have any problems talking. The only tough one was any "R" sound. Anything that draws your tongue back in your mouth hurt.

Sean, buy a big ass box of Twin Pops and munch em constantly. It'll keep any swelling down. Wait till the little piece of skin pulls off under your tongue. It rawks.
