X-Men 3 DVD

I'll start by stating my general opinion on the movie and then I'll get into detail as to why I feel that way (that part will include spoilers, so I'll mark that area so no one reads it by mistake).

As a movie, for someone who isn't interested in comic books or the x-men in general, the movie wasn't all that bad. Lots of special effects and action that came off pretty good. But for someone who knows the story of the X-men, this movie blows, and the director and screenwriter(s) should be shot execution style.

WTF is up with killing off main characters?! They killed off Cyclops, Prof. X, and Jean Gray? They have Rouge get the cure (though in an alternate scene they have her change her mind). Mystique looses her mutant powers as well as have Magneto lose his powers (temp maybe) too?! What a bunch of bullshit. GHEY ass movie!!!

Well being a fan of the X-men, you should know that Jean Grey, as Dark Phoenix was killed by the X-Men. But you are right, Killing off everyone was gay, because now there is no further stories

I enjoyed the movie myself. Saw it in the theatre, and have it coming again on netflix. Sure they killed off the main characters, but they were able to develop the other characters more.

It wasn't quite the first or second, but not bad IMO.

i liked it. i thought the "cure method" was super original. as far as characteres there is still room for more villans to come back and more heros to surface. i personally thought that omega red should have been involved, the same with morph and bigger apearance of the sentinals.

I don't know the whole story about the dark pheonix, so I wasn't aware that they did kill her off. But I also forgot to mention the whole thing about how Jean Gray turned into the dark pheonix. Again, maybe it's just because I don't know how the comic book played out, but isn't that wrong? Didn't she become that way from the pheonix possessing her on some other planet (the one that cyclops mentioned in the beginning of the 2nd movie when all the tv's and stuff were going crazy). I only know that version from watching the cartoon when I was a kid, and I'd assume that for the most part it was correct. But I also heard that this is the last movie in the series (especially since they killed Prof X). It definently would have been nice to see Apocolypse and some sentinals (other than the hologram one). Maybe if they make the wolverine movie, I guess.

It was correct to a point. Jean Grey became Phoenix (not dark) after saving the X-men in space. They almost flew into the sun and she used her abilities to save them. The phoenix, living in the sun, came to her because of how much power she had. She became the dark phoneix when the craving for more power became unstoppable.
I agree some sentinels, and apocolypse would have been awesome to see though. That would have made the movie kick ass.

Are they still doiing a wolverine movie. That might be kinda cool to see, if it is done right.
