I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
interior care?
using Q-tips with a little bit of cleaning solution works awesome also in vents and whatnot. dirt sticks to the q-tip not the car. :blang!:

Armor All is scary stuff.... for the vinyl on the dash, etc, I use the Meguiars interior foam.... good stuff.... I always buff it after applying it though... I don't like that glare...

Agreed. Shiny dashes are a no no. Very dangerous to drive with.munsterEK wrote:I don't like the glare either. Reflections in the windshield suck.
A good way to clean and protect your dash from the harmful UV rays of the sun and have a matte looking dash is the following:
You will need
-A Quick Detailer (Wal-Mart or Auto Parts Store)
-Microfiber Towels (Wal-Mart or http://www.pakshak.com)
-Cotton Applicators (Wal-Mart)
-Aerospace 303 Protectant (West Marine or http://www.westmarine.com)
Procedure
-Take the microfiber towel and fold it in half twice.
-Spray a couple sprays of Quick Detailer on the towel and wipe over the dash or any vinyl, leather, plastic surface to clean and remove dust. BTW: Microfibers are GREAT lint and dust grabbers.
-Next, spray a little 303 Aerospace on a cotton applicator and rub into the surface.
-Once covered, allow to dry for about 10 minutes, then buff any excess or uneven 303 to a clean sheen finish.
Notes
-303 Aerospace is like SPF 30 for all your stuff. It's a great product and on the interior lasts about 30 days.
-To keep clean, keep a microfiber and a bottle of Quick Detailer in your car. Mist a little on the area of interest and wipe away.

as far as interior goes, i used the armor all wipes, Cleaner and the one that keeps dust off. Now i use this spray i got at the Honda dealership, it works excellent. it was only $5. spray it on a cloth, it cleans any part of your car anywhere. Interior or Exterior. dont think engine tho. gives it that new clean look that you have just like at the dealerships.
