I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I'd rather spend $400 on some rotas and keep the extra $1100 for under the hood, or for whats behind the wheels. But thats just me. I don't have a problem with rotas, but i'm not gonna try and rep them like there something they arent.

why not get expensive rims and just take care of them, pay attention when you park and not curb the shit out them

Because no matter how careful you are, shit happens. And I have the misfortune of driving on roads filled with pot holes from time to time. I also don't know anyone with perfect rims (unless they're brand new and haven't been driven on yet). Everyone has at least 1 rim with some scrapes on it. And I'd be a hell of a lot more pissed off if I scraped or scratched an expensive rim, than I would if it was a cheaper one.

then i would say this to you. please learn how to park and/or drive your car properly. i never once curbed any of my cars. if you curb your car all the time i see that as a problem

I've only curbed my rims once, and they were my stock ones. There are other things to worry about than curbs. Like pot holes, debris in the road late at night on pitch black roads, driving and parking on dirt/gravel "driveways" (when it's the only place to park). Rims are right on the road and things hitting them is inevitable. Not to mention all the salt on the side of the road that's left over come spring time.
