I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
After a few long months, finally about finished up.

Well ... I finally paid my storage shed bill so I was able to get my wheels and tires out to put them on my car so it was driveable (it had bald azenis on there at the time the last pics were taken) ... so after work yesterday, I went down to the shop to help double check everything and finished bolting up the front end ... After all that was done, Chris and myself took it for a drive to do some street tuning.
Oddly enough - the Hondata wouldn't accept any changes ... it'd make them, but then revert back to the original map... dunno why. Kinda lean at light throttle, but over all drives perfect. We tried for a good hour or so while I drove around trying to find a 4" clamp to keep my filter from falling off ... but nowhere local had one big enough, so i ordered one today. Anyway - at one point the hondata accepted a few changes, so I tried giving it a little love - but as soon as it wanted to come into boost it leaned out. Tried richening it up, but it wouldn't accept/change...
And now the weather's bad and the roads aren't clear ... so next nice day, it'll be taken out and tried again.
Either way - it felt good to just drive that slut again.

well here's the update of the day....
Tried to dick around a bit with tuning and tried to get rid of a CEL that's been bugging me for the intake air temp sensor.
After some digging, I found out that the previous owner had rewired the intake air temp sensor and the evap purge control selenoid sensor ... with different color wires ... and while this was something that i remember i had found out when i took the supercharger off way back when ... it slipped my mind, until now. Swapped the sensors... well - i let the evap purge hang and ended up having to wire a resistor to the intake air temp because it ended up being burnt because of being connected to the wrong thing...
Either way - CEL = gone.
Now it's on to the whole tuning thing. Start the bitch up ... try to change things at idle .... nothing.
Call hondata ... ask them a few questions, try what they say ... nothing.
Take the ECU cover off, check it out to see if maybe it's a bad socket - nope, it's golden.
Go get something to eat and steal duanne's hondata ecu ... still doesn't work.
Try to use a stock P28 ... fry that bitch hahah
Get on hondata forums ... realize that the default setting is to only change 'Secondary Tables' .... start the car up, let it idle, uncheck 'secondary table' ... feel like a douche bag and take it for a drive.
We only got to do the Low Cam (out of vtec) map tonight..
Did some random driving ... at this point, out of boost the car feels awesome, driveablity remains stock feeling ... it's not the dog i thought it'd be ... puts around quite nicely actually.
Go up on the highway, try to get into some boost ... gets a little choppy ... mess with some fuel and do some random pulls till it's right...
Cruising about 65 mph, i downshift to 4th and do a full throttle pull. Mind you this is low cam, non-VTAAAK ... and i'll tell you what - i was extremely suprised how well it pulled for a mere 9psi on the low cam... It felt a lot like my car did when it was supercharged. Very nice and linear ... and not laggy at all, even with the .82 exhaust housing.
Then I blew the charge pipe off the intercooler on the cold side... Didn't even know it happeend actually. It popped real loud around 7,000 rpm right before i let off ... i knew something happened but the car still remained having the same amount of power out of boost so that's why i didn't think it was a charge pipe.... after a few minutes of driving around tryign to figure out what it was, i pulled over and chris and I checked out the scene. Everything looked good, and as i was standing at the passenger corner of my front bumper leaning in while he revved the engine, i could feel the bursts of air blowing onto my pants ... sure enough, the coupler popped off the intercooler. Drove that badboy to the shop, tightened it up and let it sit since it was around 12:00am; then went home.
Bright and early we're gonan try to finish this bad boy up.
I'm excited. After seeing how hard it pulled at 9psi on the low cam in 4th gear, I can't wait to see it with the high cam enabled in regular gears.
Better yet - I can't wait to get that built motor in and run even more boost!
