Well, the insurance adjuster came yesterday morning and gave me a quote.
Getting a nice fat check for 3800, which leaves me with 3300 after the deductible. H-Motors has an HID front end in stock for 2350 shipped so I'm going to pick that up, and as soon as i get a day off i'm going to drive to youngwood to grab a carbon fiber hood from Knauff. I'm also going to try to pick up some O.E. lipkit sideskirts as well before it goes under the knife.
A kid I work with is buying my existing front end for 600 bucks, and is going to piece the rest together and use my HID to retrofit into some sir-g headlights ... so he's pretty pumped for that and i'm pretty pumped about the money. I'm also going to sell the O.E. metal jdm hood and front lip to make a little bit of cash back as well.
My body shop said as soon as the parts come in, drop the car off and it'll be done within the week.
Along with the front end reconstruction, i'm going to have them shave the sidemarkers and front license plate area, shave the roof squirter and spray the roof black, install the glass into my carbon fiber hatch and put that on, and also spray my interior galapagos green. I'm still undecided whether i'm going to run carpet or not, but time will tell with that.
Soon after it's out of there, i'm taking it up to God Speed in state college for chris at metric motorsport to finish up my tune on the dyno, before he tunes Bobby's 2.0 T4/T67 civic. Mine is done, just need to clean up the map a little bit and up the boost to 7-8 psi (it's at a whopping 3psi now haha).
Hopefully by this time, duanne's car will be about ready to be put together and we can schedule our shoot with Tunerzine.
Should be back on the road around the end of the month boys and girls
