I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

what is your take on these 3 letters?!

My take on "jdm"... The term is WAY overused to the point that it's ridiculous. Everything is "jdm" anymore. I don't actually care because as long as these kids keep buying up the parts, trashing them, and taking them off of the market the more rare my stuff is getting.

Once all EK parts are discontinued look for a part out.

^^w0rd, lots of poo C. I agree the term JDM is over used, when your flipping through the classifieds and see a Ford Mustang with "JDM tail lights" thats just bad. I think it means something different to everyone, whether it be the real deal jdm parts or some knock-offs everyone puts their own twist to those letters, be it good or bad.

JDM, in a literal sense, means the Japanese Domestic Market. A lot of people, even now, mistake that for "Made in Japan" which is clearly not the same thing.
JDM, in the sense that most people use it, seems to be a "style" which has Japanese manufacturer parts or at least their style ie. replica spoon mirrors, "jdmshit" front lip, and your car is still JDM-inspired or JDM-style or whatever it is you want to call it.

The acronym JDM has just been interpreted 20 different ways by 20 different people; from style of a car, to the literal meaning of intended domestic market, to manufacturing country, etc.

I guess I never put my 2 cents into it, because, I like to take a 3rd person view on it. I don't have a definition of JDM, nor do I use the term unless it's the literal meaning, of original intended market.
