I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

well i got the ecu from a buddy, it was an obd2 p72 gsr. and put that in and the car ran perfect. so my ecu is screwed. well i had to give the ecu back to him but he had a b16 obd1 ecu at the shop he said i could run till i came across one. well i got home and plugged the b16 ecu in and the car is running like shit again. it seems like this is a missfire. but it didnt do it with the gsr obd1 ecu and that dont make sence?

pulled the ecu apart. water in the ECU. WTF! my car sat in the rainstorm lastnight and well it obviously has a leak.

i got the ecu dried off some and the car actually started. it sat @ like 2K idle for about a minute or 2 and then shut itself off.. the idle sounded horrible like it has a misfire. its deff the water ni the ecu that caused the prob and now i dunno if its fried or what but im gonna let it set for awhile to see what happens. maybe it will dry itself enough to where it will be ok.
this happened to my Ef once time i had a mad leak and my floor filled with water. " yeah it was a shit box" but my ecu got submerged and it took a shit. so afte ri had the car towed home i took the ecu and let it air dry then soaked it in rubbing alcohol then air dry and it worked fine. so just clean it out wand you will be good to go.

welp had a hair drier to the harness and the gsr ecu for about 10 minutes. plugged it back in and it didnt seem AS BAD as it did. so i switched it out for a b16 obd1 ecu and it was doing the same deal. no CEL though. pulled the + and - battery terminals and let it set for about 5 minutes then i put the bat wires back on and the B16 ecu. started the car and it seems to be alright with that ecu. idles right between 500-700 so it seems and no CEL. im guessing there might be a lil more moisture on the harness and possibly my GSR ecu. i think i might be alright without getting a new ecu. im gonna see what the shop wants for this b16 untill i can get my gsr all dried up ill try it tommorrow morning or afternoon after work.

im gonna pray this b16 will do the trick for now. i dont see why not.
