I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I would hope any swapped car ever has smoked it's stock counterpart.jdm delivery wrote:this is stupid. the fact of the matter is that the k20 lotus SMOKED the lotus with the original powerplant
Dumbest shit I've ever read.
You know what was faster than a stock Elise? The V6 powered Elise Lotus made. You know what was faster than that? The V8 version they made before that. You know what's faster than a stock Civic? One with a better engine swapped into it.
Ground-breaking shit right here.
Yes, I'm sure the more expensive Honda engine is "better" than the less expensive Toyota engine. However, Lotus clearly saw cost advantages in using the Toyota engine, so that just makes Honda suck, again.

thats all i was saying. i wasnt saying anything like it was a surprise that the swapped car smoked the stocker, i'm not stupid man. and i wasnt really even saying that the honda motor was better than the celica motor, i was trying to end the stupid babble that went on about a fucking car that none of us even own.
ok the stock motor was slower and the swapped one was quicker thats all i was trying to say. i wasnt tyring to make a comparison in quality between the k20 and the celica. like i said i was trying to just squash everything. theyre both good motors in their own respect.
shit man i'm so tired of the aimless bickering that goes on on this site. it needs to stop

I remember seeing there was a Elise with an Integra Type R motor in it. It smoked the shit out of a Ford Mustang Cobra R. It was in Sport Compact Car, maybe 2 years ago or so. Freaking nasty, not made by Elise, some shop out west did it.
2ZZ engine- fair engine, but found in celicas, MRS, and one other car, can't remember which one.
a 3S-GTE would be sick as balls in that car in my opinion.

Yes because the original motor that came in the Elise before they made the push to the US was a shitty ass rover motor with zero heart. Then finally the 111R model, which was also known as the "Federal Elise" came with the new 2ZZ-GE motor. And anyway you say it, any motor that makes 189hp out of 1.8 liters is a pretty damn good motor. And I'd be led to believe that Lotus also thinks that since they use it in all there Elise's and Exige's.jdm delivery wrote:this is stupid. the fact of the matter is that the k20 lotus SMOKED the lotus with the original powerplant
