Central MD beware!

Not sure how many people are from MD on this site but there has been a string of auto theft in the south central PA and north central MD area over the last few weeks. 13 cars have been stolen and stripped in the last two weeks alone. Additionally several EVOs, SRT-4s, turbo and modified Hondas in particular have been stripped or had major items stolen ranging from rims to entire fucking engines!!! My buddy Kevin from Hagerstown had his EVO stripped in his driveway early Friday morning. His car was not just some bolt on 12 second DD, it was all out, and they took everything. He had all his receipts and the insurance will cover it thank God. Total theft and damage was just under 16 grand!!!! So if you live in this area or are around there keep your eyes and ears open please because a lot of young Import owners like you have been getting ripped off big time over the last couple weeks around here. My fingers are crossed till this shit blows over. Thanks!

Well I cant keep my car under lock and key as I dont have a garage. I will next year at this time but for now the only option would be to let the thing sit in Johnstown till things blow over and I dont want to be paranoid so I doubt I will do that.

Also, talked to Kevin last night and his insurance company cut him a check just under 16 grand as that is how much stuff they stole!!! Unreal...

wow!! a couple cars at my buddys shop just got broke into but it was some local kids apparently. Nothing major was stolen just same guages and cd players. Thanks for the heads up

Well most of the cars have been taken from Hagerstown, MD. A few here and there in the surrounding area such as Chambersburg where I now live. I am half tempted to put my car at my parents' house in Johnstown till this shit blows over or the assholes get caught but you cant live in fear I guess. I am covered by insurance for all after market parts as I have photos and receipts for everything, but still what a PITA if that does happen. I just feel really bad for Kevin and the other kids in my area.

shit's been goin on in harford and northern baltimore county recently also..... thank god the miata is under the radar for most, apparently the people doin it even had the nerve to call my buddy's house and tell him they were going to jack his shit. They stole the fogs out of his Si..... but can't get to the other 2 cars.

another buddy had his jdm sidemarkers stolen out of his S2K, idiots used a screwdriver, and cut the harnesses in broad daylight.... another s2k was stolen and burned to the ground recently after the car was stripped.....

Freaks me out a bit, worried about the S13, Miata, and RSX at this point....
