I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

thanks...she hasnt torn the street up quite yet. I had it up at the flashlight drags today. First time launching and what not it took some time to get the feel for things but it made it to the top 8 on the import class but that whole thing is a joke anyways. just some random kid picking out the list which ended up being a buddy of mine and then lining up to whoever...stupid and not very organized but when it comes to all the v8 guys its all organized and shit like that. Fuck em

learn to hook up, then tell em you want in with the v8's... we'll cause a ruckus and fight some hillbilly mother fuckers if we have to.

I am not sure what you have to be upset about. They picked Andy to choose the top 8 because he won last time. I feel he made very fair decisions to the point of asking you and Luke to run for the #8 spot. The tuner cars were actually better picked than the V8's, the V8 selection was done by crowd cheers. The cars were lined up as they showed up. Just surprised to see the sour response, its for a good cause.

i don't think he's upset, just saying it's unorganized.

The pick the top 8 imports, but from what i understand they don't run in any certain order. Just run as they're lined up. It's basically up to those people to pay attention and choose who they should be running.

There really is no structure to the ebensburg flashlight drags... the ones i've been to in Zelienople were a good bit more organized.

Perfect example is during the last one they announced (and not exactly in these words but damn close) "someone who's actually been paying attention to the imports, come up here and pick the top 8."

It just so happened to be munster, but still... the point is, is that they just ask some random joe shmoe.

Granted, the crowd cheering for v8's is a joke too.

It's a fun time regardless of how it's setup ... and i'll continue going to every one i get the chance to be at. A little more structure on both ends would be great though. It's not that hard to note what cars are tearing it up and which ones aren't without having to go to either the crowd favorites or a random person in the crowd's picks.

Which is why I went up. Not being a dick, but so someone who knew the cars and what the cars were capable of. I actually wanted to run an elimination, but there was no room to stage them. Plus I kinda like the unorganized feeling of it. Just like the streets. You beat someone then his buddy wants some so you hand it to him too.

I missed yesterdays. I was in Pittsburgh hanging out on the Allegheny. I'll be there next month.

Must have had different imports there if Duanne had to run just to make the top 8. There were only two FI cars last month and one was a WRX.

from what i understand, there wasn't really much to get a boner over as far as imports go...

but waht do i know, i'm just pissing in the wind and hoping it doesn't hit me in the face cuz i wasn't even there.

edit: didn't know grannas was up there. i love that car and have since i first saw the build. Pretty sure i'd only like it from 1/8th on though :)

I know Grannas had his Lexus up there. That's not a 1/8th mile car, though.
