front sway bars?

i was just wondering if front sways are a must if i get rear sways. or if i get front tie bars if thats good. i do alot of driveing up in the mountian roads so just trying to figure out whats best for me. i was also told that its not a good idea to have only a rear sway and not a front sway.

form&function coilovers
blox lca
skunk2 front upper camber
blox rear camber
rear disc
gsr front brakes

soon to get
front rear upper strut tower bars or rear x-bar
invida rear sway/tie bar

It really depends on what your looking to do with the car and your spring rates. No front bar will make the car "twitchy" and it will over steer (rear tires loosing grip before the front tires). If your looking to auto cross the car this is a good thing. A large front bar will make the car more stable but it will under steer (front tires will loose grip before the front). Thing is it is usually much easier to recover a over steer than an under steer.

I feel a nice compromise of both worlds is a stock Civic ex front bar with an after market rear bar.

The front sway would be good for mountin roads at moderate speeds. it makes the car feel more stable. It sucks for autocross because it dosnt let the car roll and grip, I had a sus. teq. 22mm on my EF and it made me plow into the turns so bad i took it off and went back to my si bar after one race.

Acually for autocross alot of guys dont even use a front bar at all. (they take the stock bar off totally) it depends on driveing style and how you like your car setup.

its a 97 hatch back its a daily driver. i drive it up mountian roads alot. i just naver put thought in to sway bars before. im i was looking under my subframe and the holes im guess where the bar bolts to look alittle rough from being driven in the winter before i owned it.

have you ever driven a car with other then stock sway bars?

no other then new cars at work i drive around. i naver drove a car hard in to corners that had front sways that i knew of. thats why i naver put thought in to it. plus i have not drove my car yet with the new set up i have now. i see alot of people run rear sways no front on daily driver cars or no sways with front and rear tie bars or front rear ties with rear sway. i don't know

then i would say you should get a set, put the front and rear on, see how the car drives and go from there.

it's all about personal preference mang ... best bet is to just buy them and if you dont like them, take the hit and resell. nawm sayin? sup sup?
