I might bust the bike out tonight for a few minutes acutally. This is on my mind now.
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I took out my shins a lot then got shin pads then ditched them because they were too hot. After a while it doesnt hurt anymore. Although if you have to get stitches....thats a good one! Note to self, dont use BMX racing pedals on flatland bikes...jk...

I had tons to the shins. Shinpads just meant that the pedal skipped up your shin and stuck to your knee...which hurt more.
No broken bones here. I tore a ton of ligaments and had some massive sprains. Bruised my heel bad enough that my shin turned purple. Tore the skin off of my neck/shoulder enough to expose my collarbone, but didn't break it. That was a (5 step + flat + 8 step) gap to ledge gone wrong. Ton of concussions. Split a pro-tec in half doing a transfer in the middle of the big 10 at 985.
Damn I miss it. Who wants to dig?

yeah...... beartrap pedals and flatland don't mix..... mistake I didn't make again.
I think I broka all of my fingers at least once breaking falls. I was more of a dirt guy so I didn't hit anything hard too often.
I did break a mongoose frame in half once. Our trails were on this construction site where the company was clearing a vacant lot of trees and brush. We had the backhoe drivers place their leftover dirt from digging holes for pipes and stuff where we wanted our jumps to be. Needless to say things were pretty big since we didn't have to do the digging ourselves. Well our step up was scary, and when I finally got the nerve up to do it for the first time I overshot it a bit, landed fine..... took my hands off the bars and put em up in the air to celebrate..... and promptly drove the front wheel into the exposed roots of one of the only remaining trees and the hole asociated with them. Frame cracked in half just after the headset and I ruined the knurling on my bars.
Another time we built a dirt launch in an old drainage ditch behind a pond so we could practice without a gap or the chance of casing a normal jump. I was showing my buddy how to 360 out of the hole onto the flat, and managed to manual my landing directly into a pond full of duck shit.....
Great times!

I never broke a frame but did break just about evething else from handlebars to axles to seat posts to pedals. My one buddy did crack his Haro frame riding flatland and then bought an Ares to replace it. Haro didnt warranty it because they didnt believe he broke it riding flat but he actually did!! haha!

I think my favorite frame ever was my GT pro series xl..... made an awesome trails bike and was pretty strong and light
The haro I had stolen was a Nyquist Pro model, nice bike.... I just switched the bars out with an old set of Dyno Bars that I fell in love with a long time ago.... Took me like a month to find a set as they were out of production. Anyone remember the bars with the big gussets and the low center section meant for flatland? minimal sweep and low rise?
For whatever reason they were my absolute favorites
