I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

got my eyes on a new ride.

well i dont have a DD or a winter car yet and im driving my uncles seabring. well i always wanted a truck for winter but with gas prices going up so fast i think im going to start shy'n away from them. infact the one i was really close to get was a 5.3L GMC full size Sierra. gas hog fo sho.

but right now i got my eyes set on this 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Sedan. ever since shaun posted pics of that front end style on that wrc subaru i fell in love. i know i cant own a car without a few bolt ons so i would probly end up doing something to it but nothing major. i just want a reliable DD with a warranty.
+ this thing looks real sweet, im going to go scope it out tommorrow in the lot if its still there. and hopefully check more into it on monday after work.
Image Image Image i know its not the wrx sti but maybe in due time ill scope out the wrc fenders and front bumper :)
Image Image Image unless i can come across the older 2.5rs i would love one of those but i cant ever come across any around the area.

It'd be a worthy investment... new/warrantied, new (as in not going to break or have any issues come up from age), AWD, and better gas mileage than a truck to boot. I'd look into it.

We have a 29k mile WRX TR at work for around $19k.
Unbeknownst to the salesmen, it has Tein coilovers, Cusco swaybars, Defi link system (gauges gone) and some APS hardpipes.
It's nicer than NA Impreza...

That said, my $2500 '97 Impreza Brighton is still doing awesome as a daily, especially proving it's worth with the recent snow. If you're not getting a WRX or STi, try and find a cheap as hell awd older Impreza, save for the swap, and just daily it until awesomeness. The older ones look better anyways ;)

seeing as how he's comparing it to a TRUCK, i think he won't mind the gas mileage.
