I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

from my experience trying to sell my integra and then always pondering weather to keep the civic or not the only way to get the money you want out of the car is a part out. People want the best shit for free or next to it it really pisses you off when people start throwing low numbers especially whne you got quality parts. Good luck man in all honest i think its a good idea the STI is so bad the look awesome and sound great with a 3" exhaust my neighbor got a white one with an exhaust when he drives by it gives me goose pimples. I would do it i just cant bring myself to drop that kind of money on a car.

Who the F cares how the car sounds? Is that really a pro to buying a car? Seriously? lol. The STi is a bad ass car no doubt. Just depends on what you want. If you want a bit more luxery then get the STi. If you want a big more performance then get the EVO. Btw, John you know my car sounds sweet with my 3" catless TBE with HKS cat-back. Sounds NOTHING like a DSM.

Do what I did. Drive both. And I mean really drive them. I was lucky enough to have a good friend who had an STI and she let me beat the crap out of it. Then I got a chance to get on my buddy's freinds EVO a bit in Murrysville. I was all about the STi for like a year till I drove them both back to back. But that's just me....

E46 M3 is weak compared to 335Xi, and upcoming V8 M3.
if i get an m3, i'm keeping the civic i already have for a DD in the winter... i haven't driven any of my 'nice' cars in winter since i started driving. If i get an sti, the civic is sold and the sti driven yearround.

as far as the e46 being weak compared to those 2, that's a no brainer ... but at the price tag for even the 335xi i just can't afford one.
E46's are between 25-35 now ... that's nowhere even CLOSE to a 335xi, let alone the e92.

We recently took in a E46 M3 vert for $19k.
We don't sell them anymore.

To clarify, we have wholesalers buy them all.

I care I have always liked how the boxer engine sounded with an after market exhaust and the sti is a nicer looking car IMO. The sound is the icing on the cake

the cars are so similar performance wise that the average person won't know the difference. Granted if you REALLY drive the cars, you'd be able to tell - but for some, the fact that one sounds better than the other might be a final deciding factor.

get me a ford tempo with a 2.5" chookah and i'll be screaming down the streets all day ... then you guys will want to buy that. hoooraah

I guess I just thought people on here were more performance minded. I mean the boxer engine does sound good but that would never be a factor in buying a car for me personally. And I can honestly say I definetly could tell the difference in handling from the STi to EVO. One is a descent handling car and the other is like a fn go-kart. With that all said, the STi is still a very nice car, dont get me wrong. Like I said before, you get a little more luxery with the STi and a little more performance with the EVO. And I think the EVO looks better than the STi too. Especially those '06s. Man that front end is just horrible looking IMO.
