I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

plans for the RSX in '08

Post by robry » December 31, 2007

now that I'm making good power N/A and have all the support mods (Kpro, etc) I'm definitely considering boosting my RSX.

Probably come through with a custom kit, and have hybrid do the tuning and perhaps install some of it.

Here is my list so far, with a rough price estimate. Goal is 350whp~+ daily on 93octane/10psi or so.

GT3076R Turbo $1250
Revhard Manifold $300~
3" Custom downpipe $250~
Injectors (780cc) $320~
Walbro intake FP $95~
Tial 50mm BOV $220~
TiAL 38mm Wastegate $230~
MBC $125~
Intercooler $450~
Clutch CC STG4 $399~
3" Kteller pipe $260~
Vibrant 3" FB Muffler $125~
Vibrant UQ Resonator 3" $100~
Vaccum line $20
Boost Couplers $100
Intercooler piping $150
4" pipe + filter $150
Smaller battery + relocation $150
Misc gaskets/etc $100
Oil Feed/return kit $175~

Total $4980

If anyone has any input, it would be much appreciated :)

This probably won't happen until the fall, maybe even spring of 09', financially it will just make the most sense.

I priced a full-race stg 2 setup with a t3/60-1 turbo, and it was about 6500$ for all the parts. Granted, full-race has sick manifolds, but after talking to eric and dennis, relocating everything from behind the motor is a real pain in the ass, and I'm not really looking to build the motor at this point, so a equal length side mount manifold isn't really needed. This will give decent power and I can revert back to stock if I ever want to sell it, without needing to buy 100 new lines.

Sounds awesome Ryan, thats a real nice set-up you have in mind. The car is quick now, it'll be an animal boosted.

No I can't remember, but you could potentially do it with a CRV driveline.
