I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

"dude the exhaust on that maserati sounds like it is gonna beat you up, screw your mom, and take your chick away. That thing is mean!!!"
Not trying to pick on only you man, but gas strikes are stupid. Whatever "damage" is done to oil profits would only be offset by the gas you buy before and after the "strike". You can't seriously think the OPEC would feel the least bit threatened by these pathetic attempts.hondalowlow wrote:i heard on april 9th dont buy gas, gas strike
agreed.
The only way those things work is if EVERYONE!! in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Carribean, and well anywhere else... EVERYONE didn't buy gas for like a week.
But then again it still wouldn't work only cause everyone would buy gas before and after the so called "strike"
Everyone's heart is in the right place, but it will never work. Oil companies will never lower their prices to what they were. Never.
Gas will never EVER be $0.99 a gallon again like they were when I was in high school. Sorry.

the trucker strikewhould have a higher impact then anything. no food in the stores, no gas to the pumps. that would hurt alot of shit in the long run.

Clayton lives!!! Post up in the Carlisle thread!
And yes these gas prices are rediculous. I pay $3.55 now for 93 octane but I try to use as much as I can. Yes I am serious. I am trying to drive my car as much as possible so when gas goes to $4.50+ late summer I can park it and know I got a lot of fun out of it this year.

i kinda think that society is going to need to change before we see a drastic drop is gas prices. i dont really think gas prices are going to drop anytime soon. the oil industries have America by the balls, they know how dependent on oil we are and they have the money and power to exploit that dependency. i think the only way this is going to change is by Americans ending their love affair with oil. there needs to be an alternative form of powering vehicles, not only from an economical standpoint but also from an environmental standpoint. sure gas and diesel are great but at what price? the ozone layer is being depleted, global warming is increasing, and sea levels are rising.
ok i'm gunna get down off of my soap box now. just my thoughts

Agreed here.
Only way we can affect any kind of change is to reduce our dependency. Only problem is.. oil companies controlling the car industry. If they were serious about this, they would only make cars that ran on hydrogen or something. Not that hard to produce, readily available. Hell in 6-12 months, if they were serious, they could build refeuling stations everywhere for hydrogen.
but oil company CEOs also own car company stock so....
