from evans:
8:1-8.5:1 compression: 150-170 psi per cylinder
8.5:1~9.5:1 compression: 170-210 psi per cylinder

a lil over 150 across the board. do a leak down test next i guess

i know i have super low compression 9:1 pistons with a thick headgasket. i bought the next to last thickest headgasket you could buy

how bad is it smoking? If you want Eric and I can maybe make a trip up help assess the situation my brothers car when it went it smoked out the breather from the nipple on the intake side of the valve cover and sounded like a subaru. You thinking its the head gasket? Or do you think you cracked a piston? You would really have to be beating on it to do damage to a forged piston. Let me know if there's anything I can do for you man, you got my number.

it's not bad really. i just drove it around town and when i drive i cant see any smoke. it runs fine definately doesnt sound like a subaru. it's rich as fuck at idel reads 10.0 on the wideband i was thinking maybe the cylinder walls were fucked since its been rich but it runs fine. there is gas "speckles" in the muffler when it's just sitting there idleing i put new plugs in it. maybe just paranoid and need to get it tuned to get the idle fixed up. but thanks a million knauff i'll let you know but i should be alright hopefully

just kiddings menggz. with the way the compression test results came out, it sounds fine to me. Don't rip on that thing til it's tuned.

Trust me, you don't want to blow a bulit motor.

I used to get some smoke out the exhaust randomly once in a great while with the old turbo setup, sometimes on the gas sometimes just idleing, the gas speckles on the muffler and bumper to. Everything checked out fine, sounds similar to whats going on with yours. Any idea if it was blue-ish colored oil smoke or just black smoke from being rich? Hope everything is ok, I think it will be by the sounds of things.

blue-ish colored smoke. i think it'll be fine. i'll do some double checking and get a labtop hooked up and see if we cant figure something out

im going. thing is i'm broke and i still dont have a job. if things turn around soon i'll let you know. i'd like to be somewhat financially stable before i get a tune
