I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

driving in the snow

Post by Smeltej25 » January 17, 2004

so when it snows like crazy outside, who here gets in thier cars and goes out drivng just for fun?

either it be drifting down unplowed backroads, doing donuts in parking lots, or just going somewhere just because its snowing out.

I wait till the storm is underway then run my errands. No one is around, and I can make bank suing all the ricers driving around on 3-season tires when they hit me :)

It was snowing today. I went out and did several 180's, one 360, and drifted though several turns. I never would have done this without my Blizzak tires. They are great! You can slide, but still steer and slow down in a controled manor. Of course I did all of this on a street that was recently paved, but still does not have any houses on it yet so there was no traffic at all.

POOP HELL! I had a nice controlled drift last night through an empty lot.

I had Michelin Arctic Alpines before. Those tires also kicked ass. Plus the barked really loud when the snow was gone and I burned them off.

Yeah, they do. That is why you need to be a little nicer to them when it is dry. The softer compound is ideal for the slush and snow. If you drive hard on dedicated winter tires, you are taking the risk of a wipeout. They just are not hard enough to handle the pressure.
