I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. Jams, it modifies the Nintendo Wii's DVD drive to be able to play burned copies of games. Of course, only copies of your OWN games, nothing else, because that would be illegal, and we don't break the law in USA!

i softmodded mine a long long long time ago, only thing about the soft mod is not all games work, chipping solves that but not having loading times really rox my sox. next step is the xbox 360.

Haha by the time I got my first Wii you couldn't do the softmod anymore (Nintendo got smart). My 2nd or 3rd Wii (can't remember) I attempted to mod with a solder chip, and failed miserably (thankfully I tried it soon enough that I could return the Wii, lol).
The xbox is hard to tell man. Depends a lot on what drive you have.

you can do the softmod with any system menu now. twilight hack is dead, now you go with bannerbomb. i have softmodded 4.0 wiis without issue. i modded mine from 3.4, but its now on 4.0 and works great (except for that part about not all the games working, but thats not a problem with the softmod).tenchu wrote:Haha by the time I got my first Wii you couldn't do the softmod anymore (Nintendo got smart). My mod chip does the trick just fine! I had someone else flash my xbox, and now the firmware is out dated so it wont play the newer games (COD:MW2, etc). So I just ordered the tools I need to flash my drive (I got the fucking pain in the ass Lite-On drive, lucky me!)
