I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Re: Idle Problems
Matt, Are you thinking bad fuel pump? or are you just saying there is to much fuel? Help me out here Homie....
Apparently Walbro is the only fuel pump for my car...and you have to add on a return fuel system for the 7th gens....Those are about $630 (which I don't have....)
This car is on the edge of getting put back to stock and being sold....or maybe that guy will still trade me....I just wont tell him what all he has to do....Ha ha ha ha

Re: Idle Problems
I'm saying if your plugs are black and smell of fuel, I would not think the fuel pump was the problem. Just about everything is pointing to ignition here.

Missed this earlier, sorry.tenchu wrote: Every 3 oil changes on the cheap NGKs?? Was your car tuned by God?

Re: Idle Problems
Matt, How does this point to ignition? Today I went by Autozone and ran another code reading. There were no Misfire codes this time so I believe that the changing of spark plugs fixed that....What else could it be?
been doing some research and found a forum where one guy said it could be the O2 sensor....since I am throwing that code I will try to fix that....

Re: Idle Problems
STFU!!
Ok so the O2 sensor is only about $60 but I am still going to try using the one I have...I just have to switch some wires around and if that doesn't work then I guess I will have to buy a new one....Come on Tax returns....

Re: Idle Problems
Matt? Ignition? How is this the problem? I mean I am still not getting any misfire codes. Also, I tried to see what would happen if I was at a low speed 35-40 mph and put the car in Cruise Control....at 35-40 mph and 2500ish RPM the car bucks....(as if fuel is shutting on and off rapidly) I know that I am not getting and codes for it but could this be a TPS problem? I still haven't had time to change the wires around for that O2 sensor, but I just don't see how that is causing the idle problem....Unless the O2 sensor tells the ECU how much fuel is actually being used. And if these wires being mixed up can't tell the ECU the correct readings, then....the ECU can't tell the IACV what is supposed to be going on and then the IACV can't tell the TPS what's supposed to be happening....am I going down the right path here or am I way off?
Josh....yea, whatever....loltenchu wrote:Such harsh words towards someone whos tried to be so patient with a car thats so stubborn. Not nice man!! Haha

Re: Idle Problems
Give the O2 sensor a try man, looks like the plugs may have gotten rid of some misfire but not the root problem. Trial and error man, sometimes that's what it takes...
