I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Pulled the turbo, exhaust mani, dp, all that junk today. Got a few broken studs to deal with but oh well. Just listed my IX turbo for sale on my EVO forum. As soon as that sells ordering the FMIC and lower pipe. The parts are starting to pile up. Got my FIC 1150s today. Ordered 1050s but hey if they wanna send me larger ones for same price fine by me. ARP studs, OEM head gasket, Samco radiator hoses, Perrin intake....I cannot even think of how much stuff I have out in the garage. haha. Man, I am excited to get the FMIC so I can polish the end tanks and paint the mounting brackets black so you cannot see it behind the grill. Attention to detail is something I know theJDM.com respects. Then turbo after the holidays. Tune in late March. Probably will be a few months till I can afford a new clutch then hopefully a 10 sec pass gets me booted....haha

Well for years I always borrowed stuff and did my work on my back in the parking lot of my apt. And no room to store any tools in my tiny apt. Now I have a big garage and have lots of catching up to do! haha

Thinking of ditching my HKS 272 cams for some Kelford 272s and GSC springs/retainers. Hate to spend more money but while the head is off to do the ARPs, new gasket, intake mani, and throttle body, now is the time to upgrade. So we will see. I will probably do it, and do it all right, but it may take me longer to get it done and back on the road. We'll see. Finally ordered the new FMIC and LICP today. Keep playing phone tag with the turbo mfg so I am going to hold off on that till after the holidays. I just hope the stock clutch lasts a month or two till I get funds for a new one...haha

thanks for the comments! See some of you over Xmas in Jtown hopefully...

Just got a call from Buschur and they got ahold of their polisher. Going with some polished end tanks since I am a ricer like that. Details. Other ricer-ish stuff includes powdercoating my lower intercooler pipe black and sending my exhaust manifold, O2 housing, and turbine housing out for 2000*F satin black ceramic coat. I have 1200 silver Jet Hot now and it didnt hold up as well as I hoped, want a cleaner look with the black, and need to do the new turbine anyway. Stay tuned for pics!
