I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I wonder if people are more likely to read many small posts than a single, rambling post?

I would prefer to build a car in the early 1960s. It's my favorite era for sports cars. I appreciate the early hot rod culture and am working towards being able to fabricate my own parts to that level of technology. I do not aspire to make my own diffuser or splitter or canards. I don't care to have a super futuristic car that people look at and have to ask questions of how it works. I would prefer that someone would point out a detail on my car, and should they not understand it, only ask, "Where'd you come up with that." Never, "What is that, how does that work?" Not that I don't want to explain to people how something works, far from it, I just don't want people to think that anything on a car is beyond there understanding.

For perfection, see the 250 GT SWB I posted in "Post Cars from Other Sites"

I joined a friend's local 240SX forum, and did a stand-off-ish introduction thread. I'm there to support him, maybe get some local parts, not to really make a difference. Allegiances lie where they are, as it were. So the first responce I get is, friendly, but 100% honest and calls me for what I am, not enthusiastic. So, I check the build threads, and this member has one, so I read it. Cliff notes: His girl had a S14 and got wrecked hard by some drugged out loser. She's his lady, he's kind of a simple guy, maybe ESL (English second launguage), but he's trying his ass off to get her a car built back up. There isn't the money we spend on our cars. There isn't the level of informed skill in the build, but it doesn't matter. It's not a 16 year old kid doing things wrong because he thinks it's cool. It's a guy building a car for someone he loves who had it taken away through foul luck.

I just wonder, how many cars don't look 100% impressive that people have built and had great pride for, that I've looked at and picked apart? I know it isn't something you can undo, or productively worry about. It does, however, really turn a page on how I intend to treat people who show a car that I can see faults in.

Damn you Sailor Jerry.

My clip came with everything needed for a Type-X front end, except the bumper cover/lights.
Good to know.

A navy blue RS13, with a brown interior and Type-X aero and my everything else is what I think about while walking the dog.

I think I miss SS's original 240sx.
