I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Wow that has low miles! I dont know why yours didnt get decent gas mileage. Mine really isnt too bad. Just drove 4hrs back from kentucky to columbus and used just a bit more then half a tank
Re: POST WHORES UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no idea. it was terrible on gas.
it was fun while i owned it. i don't regret getting rid of the car at all. i won't look back the TDi is far more loaded then the wry and the payments are cheaper.

Re: POST WHORES UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i kind of want to do this in my living room. obviously they would not all be live, but i think this looks pretty fresh and i wouldn't have to worry about hiding cables.

even a smaller scale almost "picture frame" type of piece would even work that you could hang on the wall and make it like a 4x6 square or something. then you could just run a single wire from the back and down inside the wall to the breaker box. again not ever plug on the "frame" would be wired but it would look like they were all usable.

Re: POST WHORES UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha. That's cool looking. It would cost a fortune considering even if you buy a contractor pack of outlets they're like $1.50 each then the faceplates are like a buck each. How would you mount them considering studs are at 16" o.c.? They would have to be bolted together.

Re: POST WHORES UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm thinking of making a 6'x3' framed panel. (or whatever the closest size to that would be fitting all the faceplates.
out of that size i would probably only wire about 7 or 10 outlets. the rest would be faux for the "look".
the bottoms right outlet would accept the wiring from an existing outlet thats already on the wall. i would remove the faceplate and outlet and wire it into the new "art panel" that would also cover the hole and wouldn't be permanent i would be able to move it if need be in the future and just replace the outlets on the existing hole and throw the cover back on.
the outlets that would have actual power running to them i would use a shallow wall box to save weight and keep it as compact to the wall as possible, obviously something like this would not be up to code. shhhh...
just an idea. i think it would make a pretty impressive wall piece in the house. ill keep ya updated with progress pics one i decide if I'm gonna spend that kinda cash on er. the 15amp light almond 10 pack at home depot is 4$. if i would want the 15amp tamper resistant ones I'm looking at 10$ for a 10 pack. i guess i could go with the tamper resistant for the actual powered plugs and the rest could be the cheap ones. the covers for a 10 pack is 2$
i would have to figure out my cost obviously before i tackle this project to see if it will be worth it. i have the vision in my head and its pretty fucking cool.
