I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Diamond Gloss
Hey as some of you who know me already know I moved to FLA to start a ziebart southern division. I am the Sales Pro for the sarasota location. Auto Appearance Experts which is the company I work for, and ziebart have a product called diamond gloss. It is not a wax but a polymer that will shine you car for 1 year guaranteed. It protects your car from salt, acid rain, UV, Sand, Brake dust, and just about anything else that could hurt your finish. I cannot tell you how much it costs because this is not a sales pitch but just letteing you guys know it is out there. It is a great product that all the lexus, bmw, mercedes, and jaguars down here are having done and something you should check out. It is WELL worth the money especially if you have a custom or great looking paint job you need to protect.
Everyone else is just blood in the water.

SharkAttack: Quite some claims you have there. As I do agree polymer's last longer than anything else out there as far as paint protection, 1 year is a little bit of a stretch for it to last. Unless, garaged or something. How are you basing it lasts a year?
I currently use a product called Klasse (you may have heard about it) and through lots of research I have found it is the longest lasting polymer out there (compared to Zaino, Meguiar's, and 4 Star UPP). It lasts about 4-6 months in outdoor New York weather depending on the time of year (lasts less in cold messy winter months and extremely hot summer months). It also has an anti-static property that prevents against dusting and also aids in lessening the appearance of water spots.
You say you can only put it on at an authorized store, why is this? What kind of prep do you do to the paint prior to application? Any way I can try out a sample of this?
I'm in no way trying to hate on your product, as it could very well live up to it's claims, but I would like to see some evidence backing up your claims. Thanks!

It will last a year you have a paper in hand guarantee of that. Klasse is a good polish/wax but is an acrylic rather than a teflon polymer. The prep work includes a proprietary chemical bath, scratch and swirl removal, orbital buffing with a non silicone compound, and then climate controlled flourescent lite controlled temperature application. The stuff is well worth the money. The reason it can only be applied by us is because Ziebart is the ONLY person that has access to the product and will NOT sell it outright.
stoy. whats this cost? out of curiousity.
