I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

sweet that would be awesome. the prices for the parts on there are unreal compared to what you get them for in the US. talk about price inflation. its so cheap on japan auctions.
hey can you do me a HUGE favor. i know honda access is europe/japan have you ever ran across a set of honda access pedal covers? and the steering column light?

watch out what you say... shipping from japan is sick... I paid $150 for a package about 10kgs... uhmmm just over 20lbs
but usually I can get stuff transported in cars, that go to the UK... so I just drive over to the UK and have some fun with the natives there (well.. none of them are english really... all japs and such :p (see my way in?))...
So it's best to keep it small parts only... but yeah... Spoon strut bars for like $50... Cusco too... Wheels... check 2nd hand wheels... you'll go nuts!!!
and how about Full Mugen siR Pro.2 CR-X aero kits... mwuhahahaa SICK... ah well... I'm not even talking about entire cars... EK9, built for race... around $15k... mwuhahaaa
ah well... need some big amount of cash to spend in one go... I'd get me soooooooo many goodies I'd be sick for a month...

LOL...
that shit's heavy... I'd have to ask about shipping those... but should be able to...
BUT
(((auction-price * 1.2) + shippingcost-in-japan + 640Yen) * 1.04) = final price ex shipping to you...
this is in Yen off course...
-> * 1.2: this is 20% going to the guy that bids and the exporter that gets the stuff for you... I'll talk them into getting me some of that money... I won't irritate you with it
-> 640Yen: bank cost, to get the money from paypal onto the exporter's bank account
-> * 1.04: 4% paypal fee... so for big amounts use an international bank transfer or something... will save you money... small amounts use paypal...
And then some auctions require 5% Taxes (that's the bitch about buying through somebody in japan... No tax evasion possible
) and some have a 3% yahoo charge...
So you end up counting not €8 = Y1000, but €10 = Y1000... which is a bitch... and then dollars aren't worth as much as the euro right now...
So it's still cheaper I think, but don't go through the trouble if it doesn't save you a whole lot... I happen to know that US prices are a lot lower than those in Europe... we pay stupid amounts for parts, so for me it's almost always cheaper to buy from japan myself... sick ain't it?

seems that way yeah... that's why I'm telling you all this... I use it because it really saves me sh*tloads of cash... but for the US it might actually be more expensive...
BUT...
2nd hand goods are cool off course... for example:
Spoon strut bars: Y16.000 new (front upper)
usually they go for around Y10.000 MAX 2nd hand... often for 5.000
so that'll amount to uhm... well... €100... so $125 approx... not sure what they ask in the US for a new one, but they're €200+ overhere new...
even if I buy new ones I'll get them cheaper...
