I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

im not talking about anything sanctioned or any sort or closed course racing at meets or shows or anything, just highway racing, stoplight racing, touge or anything illegal like that

It sounds like an oxy-moron, but as long as it's safe street racing, I'm down with it as often as i can be. I guess i would explain it with an example like racing on a street with no traffic and no cross streets, or runnin at 140MPH on the highway at 2pm on a workday when it's daylight and you can see and noone is on the road but me and my victem.
There is regular "events" Sat and Sun nights here in philly that i watch often and participate in every once in a while. It's always done on a particular street in an industrial area that see's maybe 15 cars in 24hours and almost never any cars after 8pm.
However when I see assholes bobbin and weaving in rush hour traffic and almost causing an accident just to show off it makes me sick..
Guess I'm just wierd..

I try my best to keep it on the course, but I'm not going to just sit there and let some fag revving his Cavalier get away with it.

when i first got my civic and had a few bolt ons i was out racing. i didn't look for it, but if someone wanted to play, i was all for it. i don't do it nearly as much as i did before unless the street is wide open and there aren't any other cars around. cops have really cracked down here where i live but that just means you have to be more careful about choosing your racing spots. so like as long as you dont act like an ass zipping in and out of traffic and revving at anything with a wing i don't see anything wrong with it.

agree'd dont zip in and out of traffic. find an open strech and be carefull of the surrounding area and i think its alright to do it. and always remember your doing this shit at your own risk. so if something was to happen the only person to blame is yourself.. use your head before you try anything. common sence

I normally don't race, but I don't back down if screwed with. I won't race if there's alot of cars or people around. If I don't have a good feeling about the area I won't race either.
Normally I can be found just driving around enjoying the scenery and laughing at people. I back down from 3/4 of the challenges that pull up beside me. Basically because they are usually Cavaliers, Saturns, Focuses, etc.
I just don't need the fines and points on my driving record. Especially since I am considering getting my CDL license.
