My exerience: Road America

Went to Road America this weekend (http://www.roadamerica.com), and it was some fuckin crazy shit. Of course, my ride ((passenger) `02 BMW M3) got wrecked on the first lap of offical driving, but I got some pics. I still got in alot of wriding, since my dad (`04 WRX Wagon) took his place when he fucked up his ride. I also wrode in a 3rd gen RX7 that was modded like hell, and the guy couldnt have been older than jawn, and was one of the coolest people ive ever met, had a mad sick car, and fuckin drives awesoem. Basically what happened, was we were in the front cluster of cars, and he wanted to slow down and kinda space out the group a little bit, and his back end came loose on turn 11 and we started to slide with the drivers ass out, then he managed to save it for a second before it did an extreme 180 back out the drivers side, again, and we hit the wall at about 65-70mph, neither of us got hurt at all, exept a bit of stiffness,

We started our voyage to the wall at turn 11 at the "kink" and you see it on the map.

ps: we did NOT go through the bend, that is for bike races only.

Cool, I've been to Road America a few times but not on track days, just to watch Indycars (CART, Champ cars, whatever), Trans-Am, and some other series race.

Tenchu - you need to visit Indianapolis this June for the Grand Prix, you won't be sorry you did.

robry:he wasnt going fast at all...that was the problem, too much weight towards the front and the rear lifted off a bit too much.
