I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

i found a really good deal on some sprint hart cps, so i brought them home wednesday night. they came black, but because i'm changing my color scheme, i decided to alter their appearance a bit. so here, step by step, is how they've transformed thus far.

brought them home: Image i took a can of paint stripper directly to the base coat while wiping the lip clean... Image damn paint was being a bitch... Image after a couple more coats of stripper, i finally got all the old paint off. Image masking the lip was a PITA because of how deep it is... Image with that said and done, it was time to primer. Image Image i didn't want that orange peel effect, so i sanded them down as best i could. Image quick shot of the color the wheels were sprayed... Image and the final product (before clearcoat): Image it was my first time spraying with my new guns + compressor, so i think they came out ok. since i'm going to respray the crx myself i figured i needed some practice. :) tomorrow i'll be shooting the clear coat and polishing the lip...woohoo! btw, here were my weapons of choice... Image Image and a quick teaser of the color i'll be spraying the car... Image well i guess that's not a teaser... :P

you need a mugen kit... and some red chairs... that shit WILL be beautifull!!!

now for my project to get going... believe it or not, but I need a 2nd car to get me by in the time it'll cost me to completely restore the crx (that's the plan anyways... rustproblems MUST be bye bye)

update! finished the base and sprayed 2 clear coats on today. they're sitting in the sun and i'll probably color sand (as well as polish the lip) tomorrow.

just finished the clear... Image sun-bathing :) Image Image here we go...unmasked!!! Image what do you guys think??
