Yeah, like Tony said, thats rain getting on the lense. It started raining right when we got there. Its been raining almost non-stop for the past 4 weeks, all the rivers and crap are filling up, its so not cool.blaster834 wrote:WTF's by the mirror in the second pic?? Nice, i like that color
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

u better make sure that swap comes COMPLETE.and complete just isnt the motor and tranny.your gonna need the motor, tranny,DET harness and ECU.and for 1100 bucks,i highly doubt it'll be in very good shape and wont be hacked.the guy we get our det swaps from is usually 2500 for a redtop det swap but is always checked b4 shipped to us and we have yet to have a problem with any motor.meanwhile we had one customer get a det on his own and he had stuff missing and the harness was hacked.remember, u get what u pay for...OcLpRk8699 wrote:Yea id love a RB but guys i dont have the cash for one, they run for like 5000, im only spending like 1000 on the car. And those white spots on the car is rain hitting the lense, yea it is really that clean. I found a really good jdm engine dealer. They are located at

The redtop sr20 is only like 1100, so thats a steal, and it comes with tranny, unsure on what tranny but well see i guess
for ur 240 just stick with an s13 redtop, its cheaper than a s13 blacktop.the differences between the motors is an s13 comes with a t25 turbo,an s14 comes with a t28 ball bearing turbo and i believe the newer s14's come with a form of "vtec" so to speak. and then the s15's are basically the same as the s14's only with less miles.now this is just in a nutshell.there are many small differences like intake manifold design between the motors and such but that is a lot to type lol.

a complete kit for a 90 fastback has to consist of the engine tranny ecu wiring harness.
there is no way that engine runs treanny works everything for 1100. Everone at least asks 2500. Thats a red top sr.
oops, someone already pretty much said what I said, non jdmdsm.!! he's right though
And welcome aboard, I also have a 90 fastback.

Which is why it would be easier to swap an SR20DET... what does an SR20DET come from? A Silvia... what's a Silvia... A 240SX, just with all the Japanese goodies that the US gets screwed from getting.nonJDMdsm wrote:when converting to a 5 speed it doesnt matter what motor u are swapping in the car, u will need the pedal assembly and so on out of a 240sx...i destroy stars wrote:i like the rb6 personally. but the sr20 will be a better swap to get all the parts to convert to a manual.

and ur point is being what?last time i checked a det swap didnt come with a auto to 5 speed conversion.thats why i said if he wants to convert to a 5 speed he will have to find all the nessesary parts off another 240sx 5 speed to make his one.and actually if u wanna get real techincal a silvia is not a 240sx,our 240sx is more of the 180sx's,unless u get a trunk style then that could be made into a slieighty with a s13 front end conversion.
but then again,i could be wrong,i'm not the nissan genius here,i just know enough to get me by haha
