I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Most likely, I'm different......

Post by SunnySE-R » August 14, 2004

Hey there boys and girls, I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago and am just now getting past the denial that I am a newb here. I spend most of my time on http://www.sr20forum.com.

Anyway, my name's Casey, I'm 23, and I'm a Honda tech. I drive a 92 Sentra SE-R. Its got the original Super Black paint, a JDM SR20DE, 97 SE-R tranny with LSD, an AEBS 4-1 header, PRI CAI, Progress adj. rear sway, Active Tuning rear upper bar, generic front strut bar, Prothane mounts, Rota Slipstreams in sports bronze wrapped in Yokohama AVS, and a Sunny Styling CF hood. I am piecing my suspension together as we speak, it will be made up of Hyperco springs (300F/200R), KYB AGXs, ES bushings all around, and Scott Higashi shock mounts.

These original SE-Rs are great platforms. Known as "the classic" amongst SE-R enthusiasts, they are like a 90's version of the Datsun 510. The SR20 motor comes in the form of 15+ versions overseas, we only got one of them. There is the regular DE, the variable valve timing NEO VVL VE, and of course- the only one everybody knows about the DET.

That sounds really dope. I've always heard that those older SE-Rs are some of the better handling and more fun to drive fwds. Do you autox it? Definetly post some pics!

Awesome! We need some more Sentras here. I like 'em alright, too. Thanks for the history lesson.
