I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I changed the oil today. The oil itself looked completely normal. I did find a small coolent leak at the bottom of the lower hose though. That solves the coolent smell. Hopefully that means that it's not the head gasket.
The car is still smoking. It leaves black crap all over the rear bumper. How do you test the o2 sensor? If it is the o2 should I stick with oem Honda?

I don't see why O2 and vtec oil pressure switch would be in any way related... sounds like your engine's just been beat to hell and back and has severe issues :>2-7offsuit wrote:I just checked the CEL. It's throwing 1 (primary oxygen sensor), 15 (ignition output signal), and 22 (VTEC oil pressure switch). Could these all be realted, or is this three seperate problems?

ya i have to agree with sfc.... ur motor sounds worn out i would make sure u get a local friend (who knows alot about hondas) to help u check it out or take it to a shop NOT honda as they dont do shit for motor swapped cars....
im really not sure what it could be but u might want to make a post up on HT in the engine forum....
hope u get it running right soon that really sucks man

Well I figured out that the vtec oil pressure code is because the motor is JDM OBD2 which doesn't have the sensor, but my OBD1 p30 ecu still looks for it. Also my igniter was replaced a while back so maybe it was never reset and it's still seeing that code. Can I just disconnect my battery for a few minutes to reset it?
I'm still trying to figure out if the o2 sensor is bad or if it's just wired wrong.
