I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
My car smokes like a dirty hippie
on a lot of ecu's and pcm's to reset them u need to leave the terminals disconnected for an hour. until the capacitors completely discharge. now wih the oxygen sensor. check the voltage reading while the cars running. there should be a spec in a haynes book. they might tell u to do a resistance check (ohms). but either way most o2 sensors can't read more than 1.0 volt. their normal rangeshould be .2 to .9 somewhere in between is a good reading.. but honda may use something different. i'd also do a compression check and cylinder leakage test to each cylinder to be on the safe side. the problem might be something small. does it only happen on startup? does it still smoke when the engine is up to temp? rough idle? lack of power?

i'd have to be there to actually figure it out but with the rough idle and the vtech oil pressure switch. almost sounds like a sensor. possibly a knock sensor or a cam sensor. something of that sort. if it runs a lil rough and smokes i'm thinkin maybe the timing is advanced or retarded. not sure though. try your vaccume lines and check your egr and pcv valve. lemme know whut happens after u check them out. i might be able to help some more
