I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I agree totally.

If any of you guys know any of the shop owners in your area...get the word out. Get us linked from some other sites too.

I'll talk to some of the authorized vendors. Most already have a link to us, though.

what we need is some new, non-free hosting. I personally cannot afford to, as I'm living paycheck to paycheck as it is. I've been fortunate enough to find us free hosting more than once, but I'll let you know right now, the current place it's hosted at will most likely go down sometime in january at the latest. The guy who runs the server is having a baby and can't afford any extra's after that occurs. I really don't know what kind of bandwidth we're using a month right now, but I have a friend who does hosting, so I would think for 10$/month he would host this site as well. And we shouldn't ever have to worry about the site just going down indefinitely as he does hosting as a business. *shrug* If someone on here wants to pay for it, I can get it set up. Personally I think it would be better to do it sooner rather than later, especially considering the severe slowdown the server has had as of late, and I can't figure out why. I'm guessing it' jsut becausae the server it's on is heavily loaded down by a bunch of gaming servers it runs as well. Anyways, if someone wants to throw down some donations, if we get together like 100$ we can just pay off hosting for a year right off the bat. PM me if you're interested in paying part or all. My plan would be if we can get hosting, to move all the stuff over to the new server, make sure it's all working properly, then re-point the dns.

I have always been willing to throw down some money to keep it going. We are going to need a few people to back us.

I'm going to see what I can do for anyone that donates money. Throw some stickers their way or something.

well, like I said, anyone interested, PM, perhaps with how much you're willing to donate as well so I can get a running total going. This really should happen by the end of this month if possible. Just so that we don't have anymore downtime. Plus the sooner it gets moved the sooner we get a responsive forum back.

hosting through my buddy is 69$/month. There's a possiblity I can get it cheaper, although that isn't gauranteed. Also, anyone who donates would get a free [email protected] email as well.

*and possibly like 10MB of webspace.

**depending on how much bandwidth we use, and how much they donate. This wouldn't be implemented till the first month of hosting was up to see what our bandwidth usage was, and may need to be limited if it's being abused obviously.

i host my own site and just pay for the domain see.. http://www.alienworx.com .. i run the server myself and it is reliable.. small hard disk space but quite a bit of ram.. makes it fast.. i can definately host something if you want. I restart the server once a week.. that takes not even 5mins so.. that's what i can do. I'm not going to say what operating system it is running due to security reasons but you will find it runs quite well.

I imagine our bandwidth usage is fine because there isn't any user images hosted here. I think we'd be fine.

$69/month...Hopefully people donate.
