I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

looking for opinions on this b16 integra

Post by 98exploda » December 01, 2004

Okay as some of u know, im selling my 90 integra ls. well ne way this guy wants to trade his 91 integra gs for mine plus some cash. he wants 800 for his with my teggy. it's an ugly ass bluish grey. it has a b16 in it with adjustable cam gears, everything else is stock. it has vtec controler but he said he's keeping that. it has damage on the passenger side door but he said he has a new one sittin at home that he can spray black for me and put on, it has very minor rust on the driver side he said he could also fix, 1 pieces have a crack on the passenger side, dash is torn apart down the center where the stereo goes, vents down work like they should, and ecu is all ghetto rigged, and the clutch wants to stick to the floor. He said he will fix all that for me b4 he sells it so that it will run right and be all fixed, i would just need to replace the clutch and eventually repaint the car. should i just get the car AFTER he fixes all the little shit, and maybe sand it down and primer it black or something till i can afford to paint it? i think i want the car mainly just cuz it has the b16 in it but do u think it's really worth it or should i decide after he fixes everything?

well if he fixes all that shit which i told him he's going to b4 i even give him money for it at all. so i think im gonna buy it but only if he fixes all that shit. and fixes it right. if it looks all half assed or ghetto rigged im gonna tell him fix it right or im not taking it. which he already agreed to do so we'll see. im still gonna have to repaint it and get a new clutch but i don't care about that. and the rims are gay, they are black crx sawblades

depending on how well you know this guy, I wouldn't trade it. There a reason why his vehicle is in the shape it is today-poor mechanic maintence(sp). "stay away stay alive."

also, b16 on a integra isn't all that great. that torque-less piece of $hit.

Yea. Not just, but he did it a while ago.

ya i know b16's aren't as hyped up as alot of ppl think, but it's better then what i got. and it's pretty much just body damage that him and I are fixing, it drives fine, no knocking or ne thing in the motor so we'll see. and as for just teg' n it, i did this like 4 months or more ago but i pm'ed ya

dude, don't do that. Why don't you just buy a b16 head and make the engine you have an lsvtec? That car sounds fucking beat, I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole. And if the clutch is sticking that badly, for all you know the tranny may be going as well.

and ya, after looking at pics of your car, keep it, and get a b16 head, it'll be a fuck of a lot cheaper in the long run, that's for sure.
