I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Acura EL

Post by kotomile » January 04, 2005

I never knew about this car until I was looking up an oil filter at work and noticed that there was a Canadian model Acura called the 1.6/1.7 EL. Yep, a luxo'd Civic platform with exterior and interior tweaks. Looks pretty nice actually, you seventh-gen guys ever think of using the EL front bumper or rear treatment?

I've seen those front ends for sale before. I actually thought about doing that before I found my SiR bumpers. I like how they look. Give it a more luxury look.

If those el's had heated front seats, I'd love to make my front seats heated. Anybody know this for sure?

I used to own a 1.6 el before i had to sell it to move to BC  . I miss that car...
Yes, the premium models came with heated front seats, leather too. Also, it came with heated side mirrors, not sure if ek's have that feature. I'm sure if you called a Canadian dealer, they might have them to purchase, just a thought.

Yeah I'm sure the dealers would have them for a deadly price though. Last time I contacted a Canadian dealer he said he couldnt ship it to the us for me. Could this possibly be shipped to one of our Canadian friends then passed to me if it turns out they have something I want in stock.

Also, anybody aware of any Canadian Honda sitest that let you search parts inventory such as http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com does fo hondas?
