I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I would have to agree. I realize the motor is capable, and it is good to set goals, but yeah 1000 horsepwoer is a little bit overkill. But hey, your car, do what you want.

how is having 1000rwhp overkill? there are numerous supras running in that area, its just something to achieve.
Thats not really overkill for the 2jz-gte by any means, that'd be like saying 300whp is overkill in a civic, or 400whp in a 240 is overkill.

its NEVER overkill unless you fear the power, imo.

tom. that will be sick. go for 1000.

i agree you need to set a goal. it makes building the car that much more enjoyable when you reach it.

the only thing is its not going to make my bank account happy, haha.
but you're on point with what you said, i know i'll be happy with 500whp, with 700whp, etc...but the first time that badboy fires up and hits 1000whp, thats when ill have that grin on my face that never goes away.

as long as it doesnt explode afterwards or anything

i have a friend with a 600whp civic, i have a friend with a 180sx that he will be getting close to the 500 mark, so overkill, i say there is no such thing, you do what you want and achieve your goals that is all there is to it
