im getting eather a CTR or a ITR for the my ek but befor i do what are some engine mods i can do to keep up alittle with out spending too much money..... my dads taking my motor and taking it apart to see whats wrong with it i was thinking port and poilsh head and block but then that means bigger pistions and rings is it worth it for time being? what would you do any thing? or stay slow till i got type r ???

stay slow, no sense in building up a motor you know your going to ditch...plus a hatch rockin a b18c5 with slight engine mods owns...

Actually the B16B isn't all that bad. Has potentional, but it doesn't pull hard until about 3rd gear.

CTR is great, but ITR is better...the only thing the b16 lacks is torque...
If you don't mind having the engine revved to 5k when your going 65 on the freeway, then go with the ctr
