I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

need jacksonville paint shop help!!!

Post by TRAVASS » March 29, 2005

Hey i am looking for some one to help me out with some cheap paint work! (who isnt, right?)

well here's the deal, my dad gave me a 90's corvette rear bumper, and i have hacked it up to hang on the wall, with lights and cool shit like that. I am still working on it, but i would like to get it painted nicer than my spray painting abitlities can provide. Im not looking to spend much, can any one help?
needs to be local to jax, fl.

ill post pics of my progress if you want to see what the fuck im talkin bout!

IIRC Velocity Trends will paint a single panel for like 60 bucks, Yours probably counts as a single panel (maybe?).

I believe it is from a 90 vette (domestic i know) Found bumpers like it on ebay for $300+ and i got mine free, woohoo! Good thing about the 90 is that there is no third brake light above the plate. 89 and older had it! i got the back up lights ordered and lookin for a good set of tails, and a good corvette plate!

So here are the pics i promised...
this is when i got it, dirty as shit from sittin outside... Image then i cut off the side that go toward the front towards the rear wheels... Image the cuts were made so it would lay flat on the wall when i hang it, or in this case the floor for now ... Image
