id buy a 6 but their to expensive, hatches are also more money suprisingly??? less car more money, whatever. plus 6's are alot bigger and weigh more than the 3, and the 3 is already fat at like 3200lbs.

so its just gonna be a black 5 speed 4 door, they dont come in 2 door or id get one of those, 2.0 DOHC

and does the 2.3 make a difference? they want like 2300 more for the 2.3 and for that money i could just build the 2.0 motor.

How do you figure the 5 door is less car than than the sedan? BTW they are more because they ONLY come with the 2.3l AND they come with the 17" wheels/ side skirt package standard.

3s are nice, but why not hold out and get a new MX5 when they go on sale? You'd get the 2.0 plus RWD and convertible.

by not as much car i ment its smaller, not that it performs any less, and i cant wait because i deliver pizza rite now, and im going to school in october down in pittsburgh, and they had a mazdaspeed mx5 at the dealer i got my car from

This still makes no sense...how is a 5 door hatch with MORE interior room than a sedan smaller?

Yes the 5 door is 2.1 inches shorter in total length, but 1 more cubic foot in passenger volume, 5.7 more cubic feet in cargo volume, and when you drop the rear seat (only in the 5 door) you get an additional 14.1 cubic feet.

I still don't understand your arguement, so to end this, get what you like, that's what matters.

I got the 2.3 hatch... there are many differences between the base 2.0 sedan and the hatch... bigger brakes.. rims fogs etc etc....plus the curb weight of the car I believe is around 2900.... check out http://www.mazda3forums.com lots of useful info
