ok so i swapped my auto to 5spd. it ran great i went out wiht munster last night cruzin, i drive home from my g/f's house this afternoon and everyhting is fine then i go out around indiana. later on in the afternoon and the speedomtor quit working i was like WTF?!?!?
so i go to the shop and check my plug its good and i compare the auto and 5-spd speed sensor. there diffrent so loudly i say shit!, so i drive around wiht it unplugged and pulled my + terminal for a couple minutes hoping my ecu would reset and i could plug it in agin and it will work fine.. NO i have no luck. so i got fishing with my friends the it gets dark heres the best part.. i turn on my car hit the headlights and what does it do.. the fucking lights were pulsing i mean all the lights cluster headlights turnsignals there were going normal then they die then normal "the engine was reving good then shitty good then shitty" like steday pulse. so im like fuck this shit i pull my speedo plug and pull my battery terminals for like 20 min and i turn it on and it still does it. SO then i had the car on and my friend was like pull the + terminal and i did and it shut off the car was running off of the battery. as much as it seemed but everyhting works fine . i was like man this sucks.. i look like a big retard driving at night . so i go to advance they tell me its my alt. it read 13.8 volts but 13.5 amps shouldnt it be like 60amps??? gimme some thoughts on y my car is doing this its a d16y7 auto to 5spd conversion. and it has the 5spd ecu.

PS. I WANNA KNOW Y MY SPEEDO ISNT WORKING IS THERE ANY FUSES????

i remember when i got my swap the alternator was dead so like the speedo would turn off and on ...wat motor was in before cuz right now my car jerks around certain speed, due to the idle air control valve,

yeah check ur fuse as well it should be under the dash and check under the hood just incase as well

He has a D15. He did an auto to manual swap, still the same motor.

uhmm... what ecu are you running?? If you're running a automatic ecu, itll def throw a lot of codes due to fuel curve and all that other automatic crap. Check that out.

i got the 97dx 5-spd ecu in it..

ok so i check then 5spd speed-o sensor and i even notched the suto sensor and installed it and no go.. maby its a fuse mr in the cluster its self?!?!?!? ill look at it tomrow..

What speedo cable are you using? Compatibility issues may cause the ECU to throw codes did you look at that??

it was a fuse
