ok i swapped a h22a in a eg and we got it done and drove it.

the normal shift pattern goes like this

1 3 5
} } }
2 4 R

heres the mind blower the JDM H22a tranny goes like this

2 4 R
} } }
1 3 5

isnt that a bitch.. we kept smoking the clutch trying to pull out in 2nd why is this tranny geared like this.??? RHD?>>???

The H22 tranny is a dual cable tranny. I bet you switched the cables up.
