i heard that Kumho and Dupont hooked up to make this tire. the hotter they get the brighter color of red or whatever color smoke they make comes off the tire. i heard that in the pits when they smoked the tires everyone covered their faces b/c they didnt know what was wrong with the tires or car. that is what my friend Matt told me.....he got to see the event.
